Finally, a decent truckstop up North. These are few and far between. Clean restrooms,friendly folks. Good food at restaurant. Nice place to stop. Will be back...
Great place to stop. It has a family restaurant, Burger King and Dunkin Donuts, besides candy and other treats. Yes, they have bathrooms as well, even a coin shower if you need one.
Truck broke down today in the parking lot of the TA. After fueling I noticed my air pressure not completely filling.The young lady I spoke with on the phone at 11:48 am in the service repair department who wasn't very knowledgeable gave me a 5:30pm appointment time. I called back at 5:30pm and I was told 6:30pm. I called back at 6:30pm and I was told 7:30pm. I called back at 7:30pm and was told 8:30pm.... I called back at 8:30pm and it is now midnight and I have yet to still be helped in any way shape or form... every time I called the clerk I was told the mechanic is working on this ONE truck that needs a brake chamber and ended up having a slew of other s*** done and then a routine maintenance and then this and then that and then dude just keeps adding on s** and they only have one decent mechanic here that's knowledgeable working on his...Cool but yet all the calls going out to roadside assistance are being handled as well and Im being skipped over IN THE PARKING LOT. I was deemed not important. I am an owner operator not a company driver. I'm not on a 34-hour reset.
Food was pretty good. Well stocked salad bar for a nice size salad. . Plenty of parking. No one thought the parking all the way through. Half the spots are blind side. They got Dunkin donuts and BK here. Showers are nice and clean also
7+ HOUR TIRE CHANGE!! Dont bother getting your truck serviced here. I spent almost an hour trying to calm my husband down until I finally agreed to stay up while he slept to wait for a tire change. We arrived at 1030pm and its now after 5am (they said an hour wait) and the tire is laying on the ground and no one has walked around the shop in the last 15 min. I'm usually patient and calm but 7 plus hours to change a tire is beyond ridiculous. I fully regret calming him down at all. All the roadside calls have been handled and a truck that came in here for an OIL CHANGE after us all got pushed ahead of us. Best part is they have been playing Christmas music the entire time, gotta love how full of the spirit people are this time of year. Merry Christmas TA! Thanks for the layover and losing our pay.... For a tire. Wont be spending our money at ANY TA even for so much as a stick of gum after this.
UPDATE: Tech came out to my truck that was park near the fuel isle, took a look and realized I needed a braided hose for the compressor. 2 minutes of his time and it took 13 1/2 hours of sitting. Paid for the $260 hose, crawled under my truck and did it myself.
